These pictures of Lilly and me at the park bring up bittersweet feelings about the impending arrival of baby number two. I love my little Lilly so much and I love the time we have just the two of us. I'm a little sad these days are numbered but I am also so excited about adding another to our brood. I find myself day dreaming about what it will be like to have one girl snuggled up on each side of me. I imagine the fun they will have together once the little one is bigger. My heart is definitely feeling the growing pains of adding another to our family. Bittersweet for sure.
The mommy and me shoes are so precious. Just wait till you can buy lil baby moccs and take the cutest family picture.
ReplyDeleteI don't know exactly what you're feeling and struggling with, but I've always imagined that adding baby number two would be plenty difficult. I hope the transition is smooth and seamless. Lilly will be a great big sister.

DeleteI have one little boy and plan to start trying for another baby sometime this year. Even though I'm not pregnant yet i can already identify with those bittersweet feelings. It is always a huge structural change having a new baby (I guess it's even a little like how that relationship with the baby's father is reconfigured when the first baby comes along!)
ReplyDeleteI have many fears about how adding another member of the family would affect my relationship with my son, but at the same time I love the idea of him having a brother or sister. There is just so much to be gained! Lilly is going to love the adventure of having a little sister, I'm sure!
