Guess what? I finished that jellyfish a while ago and forgot to post about it. Ha!
I made it from this book. The book is pretty good and Hansi (the author) must be a freaking genius because the patterns are cuh-razy. I bought this book with zero knitting in the round experience and have to say it was a little much for me. It took me quite some time to figure out. I would recommend learning to knit in the round before attempting any of these patterns unless you like a good challenge and don't get frustrated easily. Unlike me.
Edit: I should clarify that this is not the first jelly I have made. The first one I made hangs in Lilly's room and is a bit of a hot mess. But practice makes perfect. ;)

Oh, I agree! Unless it's a cowl, knitting in the round takes a lot of getting used too. But it turned out great! Thanks for sharing the pictures with us after all:)

ReplyDeleteAwwww! That's super cute! xo
ReplyDeleteYeah, knitting in the round confuses me- I wind up all twisted! So it's very impressive you finished this little guy without ever even knitting in the round before! He's so cute! His little tentacles! I see on that book they show you how to make a terrifying pilot fish amigurumi. Those things haunt my nightmares! ;)
ReplyDeleteso cute!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of something my granny made for me when I was born :) I still have it in my room.
